Scouting rural girls who cycle 10–15km to school, funding their tuition and linking top talent to professional cycling academies.

About Us

Welcome to the Herd

A premier eco-sports tourism and athletic talent incubation enterprise. Every year, professional cyclists, running clubs, corporate teams and families from every continent cycle and walk across Uganda.

Beyond the tarmac

Generic city marathons keep athletes on static tarmac. ZDS blends high-adrenaline competition with an immersive wildlife safari across a terrain progression you cannot find anywhere else: savannah, longhorn cattle country, then an alpine summit.

To build Africa's premier annual open sports tourism property, turning cycling and distance walking into platforms that save wildlife, end road fatalities, conserve the environment and lift rural African female athletes onto global podiums.

Protecting the herd that inspired our name

Lake Mburo loses zebras every year to poaching and dry-spell dehydration. At each grand closing ceremony, athletes, visitors and local leaders plant indigenous seedlings on vulnerable slopes.
